SWIMMING
Both headquarters locations for 2014 have swimming pools. We know this is a favorite service for our riders so we’re excited to be able to offer this at both Pocahontas and Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Fees may apply. Details coming soon. Pocahontas offers a kiddie pool, fountain wet deck, three-foot and five-foot-deep leisure pools, an activity pool, and two tubular water slides.
KAYAKING AND OTHER BOATING
You will have an opportunity to launch your own boats at both of our event centers in 2014 or rent various boats for your paddling pleasure. At Pocahontas State Park, rowboat, paddleboat, kayak, and canoe rentals are available at the 200-acre Swift Creek Lake. At Chickahominy Riverfront Park kayaks and motor boats are available to rent.
FISHING
If you like throwing a line and hook into the water you’ll be pleased to know there is great fishing at both headquarter parks. Access two fishing lakes at Pocahontas State park where you’ll find crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish. Chickahominy Riverfront Park offers a fishing pier with free access. Please bring your own tackle and gear.
