In addition to great bike riding on the Bike Virginia Tour we work with the community to create an enjoyable full scale entertainment experience that has something to offer for everyone.
Friday June 21
We’ll kick off the 2013 tour entertainment with a welcome party (dinner’s on us for all registered participants!). You’ll be able to fuel up on our Mexican feast, get the preview of the next day’s ride in our “Route Wrap”, listen to live music at a community concert by Keith Bryant and Iron Horse, stroll around the vendor area, and enjoy local wine and beer in our cash bar beverage garden.
Saturday June 22
After a fun day on the road, kick back at camp, go tubing on the river right from base camp or take a bus into Lexington to dine, shop or see the campuses of VMI, Washington and Lee as well as other historic sights.
1:00pm – Busses will begin Shuttle
7:00pm – Movie night – Now that is CAMPING!
5:45pm – The Daily Route Rap, keeping you ahead of the curve.
6:00pm – Enjoy beverages on site in the beverage garden.
Take part in the pre-purchased dinner plan or sample the variety of foods from vendor row.
Sunday June 23 – Century Day
Long rides make for a great opportunity to kick back in an inner tube and enjoy some tubing on the Maury River. Relax at camp or become the next American Idol with Karaoke. Sightseeing and professional entertainment also on tap along with the beverage garden!
1:00pm – Shuttle Busses to Natural Bridge for those who don’t want to stop on Monday and will spend more time at the winery! (HaHa…you know who you are!) Sign up in advance at Hospitality.
3:00pm – Karaoke Begins…Now that’s what I call ENTERTAINMENT!
6:00pm – The professionals take over with a blend of blue grass and eclectic folk music.
ROUTE RAP AT 5:45 – Move Day Monday Information!
6:00pm – Beverage Garden opens and enjoy food from Vendor Row or the pre-purchased meal plan!
Monday June 24 – MOVE DAY
After enjoying some of the best Virginia has to offer settle in at camp and enjoy the panoramic scenery right from your site! Take a bus into Roanoke for dining, shopping and the Virginia Museum of Transportation! Take a kayaking trip too! Plan a “Dinner and a Movie” date at camp with beverages and plenty of food choices.

5:45pm – Route Rap; keeping you informed of route options on Tuesday!
6:00pm – Beverage Garden opens
7:00pm – Blockbuster Movie!
Tuesday June 25 – SO MANY OPTIONS …
We just keep the options coming…with shuttles to Concert at a nearby venue (fee for this one) or hang out at camp for some games and a movie. How about kayaking on the James river? We have that! Beer, Wine and great food at camp…got that.
