Get ready to have some serious fun on Sunday night in Shepherdstown!
The town has organized an evening of fun you will not forget. The square dance group, The Mountaineer Twirlers will on tap. They will begin the evening with a square of experienced dancers (called a “Tip”). These great dancers will help you join in the fun so you can learn the basics.
The caller for the evening is Carl Odell, the square-dance instructor and caller for the Mountaineer Twirlers Square Dance Club of Charles Town, W.V.for the past eight years. He knows how to make sure you’ll have fun. He’s been teaching and calling for square dance clubs for the past 34 years. Later in the evening square dancing will be a switched over to a line dancing with long time instructor Eileen Tarmeter.
You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with a special Birthday cake and Ice-Cream dessert at the event. Restaurants and shops in the downtown will be open for your enjoyment. Entertainment shuttles will be running from Headquarters at Wildwood Middle to town all evening.
