The Bike Virginia Tour is one of the most successful, highly regarded cycling events in the United States. Now in its 27th year, the Bike Virginia tour features 1,600 cyclists of all skills and abilities for six days of touring the beautiful and scenic state of Virginia, stopping in many interesting places along the way. Each year, the tour committee selects a different route that takes participants to some of the most fascinating, historic and scenic places across the state. The 2014 tour will take place June 20 through June 25, starting in the Chesterfield, Amelia, and Richmond regions, then traveling to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and the Smithfield area and back. Riders can choose to participate from one to six days, with each day offering a different route option. Participants who choose the six day ride with longest route options will cycle about 425 miles.
