Bike Virginia is pleased to bring you the Weekend Escape Bike Ride again in 2014. Our riders loved this 3 day riding option last year so it’s back on the menu for our 27th annual event.
Where is the 2014 Bike Virginia Tour?
The 2014 event is located in a region stretching from Chesterfield to Williamsburg. The weekend escape takes place during the first half of our 6 day tour and is located in our first host communities, the area surrounding Chesterfield. Camp at our event center with riders from all over the US and Canada, or stay in
local hotels. For the second half of the tour the 6 day participants will move on to the Williamsburg area.
On this fun 3 day Weekend Escape you’ll enjoy touring Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on scenic and historic routes around Chesterfield, Amelia Court House, Greater Richmond, and Goochland. n overview of the week’s riding is available in our planning section, under
Routes. The fun doesn’t stop with riding. We’ll fill your evenings with fun entertainment too. Our headquarters location offers you a place to enjoy catered meals with people that love to ride, cycling gear vendors, live regional music, and beer and wine for sale on site.

Participants can also enjoy the specially planned off-site sightseeing, entertainment and recreation options.
The Bike Virginia Weekend Escape- Lots of Bike Route Options
This long weekend of riding is perfect for family and friends, with routes to please everyone. It is a great way to try out bike touring for the first time or make a quick getaway from work.
Friday, June 20 – we offer a 30 mile route
Saturday, June 21- we offer options of 15 to 100 miles
Sunday, June 22 – we offer options of 30 to 70 miles

You get a fun, three day package with marked routes, roadside assistance, premium rest stops, camping, onsite entertainment, sightseeing shuttles, camping, and a commemorative t-shirt. LUNCHES NOT INCLUDED FOR LATE REGISTRANTS AFTER MAY 20.

Participants 11 and under are free! Youth age 12-17 can register as adults.
